With over 20 years' experience in the insurance industry, Richard brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, particularly with commercial broker facing roles and experience in the Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) market. Since joining DUAL three years ago, Richard has been instrumental in expanding our motor offerings and delivering industry-leading solutions to brokers. Outside of work, he remains active through his kids’ sports and his love of skiing.

Simon joined DUAL in June 2023 as a Senior Underwriter in the Motor team, bringing over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry. With more than 10 years specialising in the commercial sector, Simon has spent the last 8+ years underwriting Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) products in broker-facing roles. His expertise extends to motor-led schemes underwriting, including transport and other specialised areas. Outside of work, Simon enjoys staying active, spending quality time with friends and family, and embracing a balanced lifestyle.

Elliot Walker is a Niche Motor product Underwriter at DUAL, with over 7 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He specialises in underwriting a range of niche vehicles, from classic cars to exotics and supercars. A car enthusiast at heart, Elliot spends his free time modifying his own car, hunting for parts, and indulging in his passion for cooking.

Akira recently joined DUAL as an Underwriter in the Motor team, bringing over 13 years of experience in General Insurance, with a strong focus on Commercial and Heavy Motor. Her career began in Melbourne as an Assistant Underwriter at Lumley Insurance and has since evolved through underwriting and sales roles at leading companies in both Australia and New Zealand, including NTI, Ando, Zurich, and Vero. Akira is passionate about delivering excellent service and finding tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, reading, socialising with friends, exploring aerial arts, and spending time with her young family.
